International Desk: The Twin Towers of Noida, India have been demolished. That multi-storied building was higher than the Qutb Minar. A few moments before the explosion, officials said, “I hope nothing goes wrong.”

11 smog guns were brought to the Emerald Court premises to control pollution. Two are placed in front of the twin buildings. The remaining 9 smog guns were deployed around the area.

Disaster response forces were deployed around the twin buildings of Emerald Court in Sector 93-A, Noida. 560 police personnel, 100 reserve force personnel and four teams of emergency forces.

The two twin buildings that stood tall in the middle of the scattered residences in the Emerald Court were named ‘Apex’ and ‘Cian’. However, in 2000, when the idea of creating ‘Emerald Court’ housing started, they were not thought of.

It was said then that 14 residential buildings will be built in this area of Greater Noida. Each of which will be 9 stories high. But in 2012 the plan suddenly changed.

These twin buildings in Noida have been at the center of controversy since the beginning. Residents of the area also complained that many laws were not followed during the construction of two 40-storey buildings. The legal battle has been going on for about 10 years.

Finally, on August 12, 2022, the Supreme Court ordered that the multi-storied building should be demolished on August 28. Following the order of the Supreme Court, this pair of buildings collapsed on Sunday. One of which is called Apex, the other Cyan.

It was already known that this huge multi-storied building will be crushed in just 9 seconds with 3,700 kg of explosives. That’s how the building was demolished.- Video source:
